Bought ages ago the limited edition 5th year anniversary vignette from Freebooter Miniatures. This is one of my favorite vignettes as the sidkick is awsome and the captain shows elegance and toughness. Also the arrangement with figurehead and chest is very dynamic. And did I mentioned the crab?
The only problem is the poor quality of the pictures. But either I stop complaining or get enough money together for a better camera and a lightbox.
My first Aggro-Minis were finished weeks ago. But now I was able to get some pictures. So here ist the crew accompanied by two Bobbies to keep lwa and order.
As this groupshot don’t show the details I have taken portraits. As I my camera is a cheap one, I don’t have managed to build a lightbox by now and I not a crack with GIMP, the colours have a bit to stark contrast. Esp. at the lad in the white shirt. But anyway they are close enough to get the right expression and look good anyway.
I have also taken some pics of the policemen though they were already presented here.
What would a WAAGH! be without the hordes? So here are the rageing greenskins.
First – as always the Big Boss with his friends. Nothing special, just the biggest Orc in town. Wiht Mek, Medic and Banner. The base will be done some time…
Next you get the different Hordes. Also nothing special. For variaty every greenskin in a base is slightly different painted. I think there are 5 to 10 different colourshemes in the hordes.
At last you get the specialists: Stormboys and Kommandos. These are also slightly different painted. The Kommandos got their Boss made from a Big Boss, just the banners removed..
Big Orx – Big Gunz. Is there be more to say?
There are the small Big Gunz. Not really fast on the move but that’s the Orc-kind of artillery.
Even better is the Gunfortress. These are Gunz to move and transport for troops. Really Big Bang. The Fortress ist slightly converted. Orx are added and one tower got a new roof.
But the best Big Gunz are the ones from the Mekkboys. The Zapp-Gunz are mobile an Big Bang.
Every horde needs firepower to rain havoc on the enemy. And it is best to bring it close so it have to be on tracks and wheels. And you need somthing against flyers. So here are the gunwaggonz and some flakkwaggonz. All are heavely converted. You will find classic orc chassis as well as an empire rhino.
So my firm got their last higlights. Now I have to look for forgotten details or accidents. After this just varnishing and thinking about what to do next with’em. Making a diorama or painting more to get a complete firm.
Some warwaggons with less firepower but transport. All of them got some conversion. For transport also some trucks. These are heavely conversion of some WWII Trucks.

Meanwhile I have managed to get some more paint on my firm. Now it’s just a last highlight.
I am very pleased by the colour of the jeans. I have mixed darkblue and darkgrey to get a base, highligh is added wiht lightgrey, shadows just some black.
Both of the „hippieguys“ will get decorations on their sweaters. But I have skipped to give the Renee some tattoos. But maybe I will change my mine after I have got my new glasses.
Bikes, buggies, wartraks and skorchas are the favorites of the speedfreakz in every Orc-horde.
Bikes are made with some conversions. You can recognize some trikes made of bikes and old warbuggies. Also lots of bitz are added.
Warbuggies are from newer as well as older models. Also some conversions were made as a few had missed their weapons. So I have added Orc-minis wiht heavy weapons. You could see two of them in the closeup.
This is what I have donte out of the subscription bonus you got from Wargames Illustrated. The Pictures are – as always – not the very best but you get an impression.
I am pleased with the shirt Vercingetrorix ist wearing. As I worked out the plaid really good. The cloak on the other side is not as good as I would have liked it to be. But better then my first version.
I could not manage to make some geometrical borders on Ceasar carpet. So it has got only stripes. Ceasar is not painted completly in red as he is on the painting by Royer but wiht a white undercoat including a „purple“ stripe as sign of his rank.
It took me quite a while to finish this vignette. But it was a start to paint 28mm again.
